Here's how it works

  • DOLLY Scrub Hub kits come pre-cut and ready to sew -  it couldn’t be easier!

  • DOLLY Scrubs Kits make 2,3 or 5 sets of scrubs

  • DOLLY Scrub Hat kits make up 10 hats

  • Use our video tutorials as a guide. You’ll find them all here

  • Or email me for written sewing instructions if you prefer. Please put SEWING INSTRUCTIONS in the subject header.

  • During these hours I will do my best to be available to talk with you at a safe distance if you’re stuck.

  • Once you drop off your finished scrubs, we then distribute them to the NHS throughout Sussex, London and the rest of the UK via Sew Sussex.

Info & FAQs
'HOW TO' videos

This project has grown so fast that I’m struggling to keep up. So, if I’ve not been able to answer all your questions or say thank you to you individually, please bear with me.

Here are some of the most common questions/issues that have come up.

1. There’s no size labels in my kit.

My answer – Just use a sharpie to write the size in.

2. I don’t have zigzag on my machine and I don’t have an overlocker.

My answer – use pinking shears or double stitch the seam.

3. I can’t do buttonholes.

My answer – leave a backstitched 1cm gap in the centre front seam where the drawstring should go (just like the drawstring bag).

4. I came to collect a kit and there were none left!

My answer – we’re working really hard to keep up with you guys and there’s more in the pipeline. I'll email you if they run out so make sure you check you inbox before you leave the house so you don’t have a wasted journey.

Please be patient, we’re making them up a quickly as we can.

5. I’m isolating but still want to sew scrubs.

My answer – let me know and we can arrange drop off and collection

Please help us all stay safe by complying with the social distancing guidelines when visiting the DOLLY Scrub Hub HQ.

Our fundraising page is still live, so please share the link so we can make even more scrubs for the NHS.
