DOLLY Mixtures - fancy a treat!

We’ve had a post-Bonfire lull at DOLLY which has been a welcome opportunity to take some time! Some breathing space to follow my sewing heart and actually follow through on those creative projects that have been lounging in my head for a while. I’ll be showcasing my latest clothing creations at the Selvedge Winter Fair THIS Sunday 23rd Nov. 

My new DOLLY Mixtures collection is where I get to play and use up my cloth stash at the same time. It’s an antedote to my intolerance to waste and overconsumption using a collage of beautiful cloth off-cuts to make up my Kit Collection. And whilst I sew I get to process and distill what is to be absorbed in making so here’s what I think.

Sewing is freedom, from the fashion industry which is all about want and over consumption. Sewing gives you freedom to express your beautiful self and dress exactly how YOU want – no trends just what feels good. There’s also a profound sense of purpose which feels like an act of kindness to yourself.

So I’m here to facilitate your sewing adventure to freedom and purpose! Grab a kit, join a class or book a mend – anyone can do it!
